Lunar Community Calendar
Why a lunar calendar?
A calendar allows us to move through natural cycles together. Staying with the feeling that everything is alive and changing all of the time, predictable patterns enable us to build meaningful relationships.
In this version of a lunar calendar, loosely based on the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, the month begins with the blue green dragon of Spring that brings renewal and fresh growth. The red bird of Summer warms us as we enjoy bounty and expansion. The white tiger of Fall protects us as we harvest and prepare. The black tortoise of Winter guides us as we rest and store up energy for spring.
A lunar calendar can help you change the common habit of approaching every day in the same way and with the same goal: checking as many things off your list as possible. Each day has a different temperament. I hope you enjoy!
